Nick Bantock is known throughout the world for his art, for his writing and particularly for his marriage of the two. His books have topped many best seller lists and have been translated into a multitude of languages. His first Griffin and Sabine trilogy stayed on the NY Times best seller list for over two years. His art hangs in private collections all over North America and Europe and in 2011 he was given a major retrospective exhibition at the MOA in Denver. As a teacher and speaker he is probably best described as...motivational and mischievous.
THE PHAROS GATE
It's 25 years since the original Griffin and Sabine book was published and at the end on March the missing volume in the series will finally be released.
.... Griffin and Sabine leave England and the Sicmon Isles heading for Egypt. Griffin decides to travel overland through Spain and Turkey while Sabine slips secretly across the Southern Seas. Leaving their homes for good, and pursued by the relentless threat of Frolatti and his creatures, the couple are magnetically pulled towards Alexandria and the Pharos Gate where they hope to find their meeting ground.
To me, Griffin and Sabine are more than characters; they are part of my interior, my personal mythology. From the moment they first emerged, their voices were strong and clear, their dialogue and their art came uncontrived. These books have been fundamental to my self-understanding as an artist and writer and I could never have expressed the alchemical journey they represent if Sabine and Griffin had remained silent.
As near as damn it, The Pharos Gate created itself...I merely watched as it travelled through my fingers and spilled onto the page.
If you so wish, you can order the book in advance at your local bookstore, Amazon, or Borders.

These sites show how digital technology may enable close-knit and customised interactions, pushing the envelope of user involvement in new directions. Though controversial, these instances demonstrate the breadth and adaptability of interactive art in the digital world.
