I need to eradicate my only memory of Paris, an unbelievably uncomfortable overnighter at the Charles de Gaulle airport. All flights cancelled because of the horrible accident in Queens NY. Having marginal French, not exactly knowing what was going on, trying to contact family. Lost my contact lenses, quick wash in the restrooms, down to our last travelers checks, getting interviewed by French TV3 and some newpaper. Putting my hands out with all my French coin and saying in pitiable French "Assez d'argent pour deux tasse de the?" Next time it's going to be the Louvre, and sitting in an outdoor cafe drinking marvelous wine.
