It's a nice piece and thank-you for putting it here for us to see. I like the way the water lily has a yearning posture towards the words, and the way the cloud shapes in the water are echoed in the brownish blotches on the paper. The old letter fragments are cool, I love the handwriting on old letters, it always seems different than the way people write now. I notice that the pink from the photograph comes back in very subtly by the door. Maybe there's room for a little more color in the upper part of image, but the interest of the printed and hand written words are pretty compelling so maybe it would be overkill. The sentimental subject with the visual restraint works well, I think. Elegant.
