We have tornado warnings here, a mother/daughter tiff? I remember reading the story of Persephone as a child and feeling so sad for her, wandering in that dark garden, Hades offering her anything to make her happy again, and she able to accept only those few red seeds. Pomegranates are a favorite of Ganesha, the Indian elephant headed god who eliminates obstacles. May I use your classics reference as an opportunity to shamelessly promote a local author? The Pig Scrolls by Paul Shipton was recently released in the U.K. by Puffin. It's the story of one of Oddyseus' men turned into a pig by Circe. It's also available on CD read by the actor who plays Harry Potter's Muggle uncle. I'm sure when the American publishers get their act together it will all be available here, too.
