Thanks everyone. Perhaps I'll enlist you all tonight to help me battle the demons. On a tangentially related topic, some theories say there are 11 other universes that share all our dimensions but one. Maybe dreaming is a way to bypass dimension and peek into these other worlds. In dreamtime, the when and where become blurred, and the laws of physics distort. Maybe REM sleep triggers the right grey matter to perceive these dimensions, similar to the way our brain senses smells or sounds. I like the fact that other animals dream and I find it particularly cool that the platypus partakes in REM. What could they be dreaming about?
