I'm curious about your experience of sensuary bombardment. The energy now require to deal with all that is flung at us, seems to equate directly with a thinness in meaning and a hollowing out of everything from aesthetics to dignity. I could, of course, have just reached that age where the desire for reflection and the the swiftness of civilization (?) are at odds in me--though I'm not sure. One of the best things about this chat room is the dialogue, but I have a sneaking feeling the inhabitance of this room do not reflect the norm (praise be!). However, I'd love to get your thoughts. Is the gyroscope spinning too fast to stay on the rails or do we have an infinite capacity for acceleration that will always alow us to cope with the mental static caused by information overload? N N
