i need your help nick: how does an idealist survive in this world without having to give up her ideals? everybody tells me that you gradually give up your dreams in exchange for reality, but i don't think i should have to give up my pursuit of "want" vs "should" or "have to"... how is one supposed to realize her potential if the world expects you to be a certain way or else they label you "depressed" or "bipolar" and pump you with medicine? how do i open the jack in the box and let myself go?
