Mr. Bantock: OK. I know you probably get more than a few wacky requests. This may well be another one, but I hope it proves not to be. I am a landscape architect in Seattle. Over the last few years, I have been building residential gardens and unusual constructions in outdoor settings for a variety of clients. Our company, with a staff of 35, is organically inclined and located on a salmon stream in Redmond, home to you-know-who. Over the years ago, my company created an elaborate and realistic train layout, a medieval garden with a buried suit of armor and most recently a recreation of Meriweather Lewis' plant catalogue for the Northwest Flower & Garden Show, winning a number of awards. We built an outdoor volcano recently and are always looking to stretch artistically. Doing the show every other year and,as long admirers of your artistic efforts, I and my design staff were wondering if we could discuss the possibility of collaborating on a garden for this, one of the largest garden shows in America in February 2006? Over 75,000 people attend. Perhaps it would correspond with a release of your work? It may simply be a display of artifacts and art that you can temporarily supply, integrated with water, plants and theatrical lighting or a more comprehensive effort of your own imagination. All of our work is meticulously researched and we take great care to Thank you for your consideration. If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to call. We have examples of many of our gardens posted on our website portfolio.
