Nice to hear that all is well. It is easy to let your book buying get out of hand. By all means, go to Fan TAn Alley, if only oinkline -=- a den of inickquitee is so hard to find these days (and the shops look interesting tot). I would recommend Butchart Garderns, if you are into browsing through gardens. I once spent several hours helping a very sloooowwww photogarpher find the prefect rose wo we could make it in time for tea. (Do have any idea how long it took, even in a well groomed, hand manicured, garden such as this one, how long it actually took?? Needless to sey, the day ended with lots of photos nad not much tea. Hmmm. Come to think of it, we never made it to the High Tea at The Empress either, so that is on my list the next time I go. Since you are going in Nov, you might be in time for the annual pig roasting by the firemen on one of the Isaldot (opps Isalnds - ok , that word is just gonna' have to hange there). ((My keyborad soemtimes gets bery sticky, like reight about now.)) Persnoally, not very much into rituals (Kung Futsee and otherwide/wise) - of pigs or lambs for that matter (they roast them in SPring I think with a sprig of rosemary) Hmmm. Sonds a bit cannibalistic, doesn't it? Annyywhooo, enjoy the travel as much as the trip down memory lane (or fan tan alley). The views from the ferry and a couple of hourse spent beach gazing were the best (along with the kick--- /not in the head/ horesradish. The two things I took away with me (and still have) is the tin the toffees came in, and a serious appreciation for the power of cold northern nights to condense radishes into serious high octane horseposer. Hmmm. If the Empress has High Tea, the Waldorf a salad, what does the REgency have? (a little hotel humor for the good humor man) ~ bye, bye black sheep, have you any woolight fabric cleaner? It is the best at cleaning silk fabic pen marks. OK, I think I am about Fissnish now.
