If only!! I would brave the Boom Boom Room for a glimpse of Gord at work. ;) The valley of Columb has recovered from the fires, though the scorch marks can be seen in the hearts of some of the canyons. I've yet to hike up to the worst spots, but oddly enough - when the fire swept through, it was fueled by dry grasses and there were few trees lost on the hillsides near me. Funny side note - I was in That Little Bavarian Town here in Washington, in a tiny nook of a book store, where I saw several of Nick's books.
