Dream interpretations....yes, your house..your mind...naturally... Mine is my studio with a hundred year old shotgun layout in New Orleans..shotguns are laid out like train cars..you start in the front and go through each room end to end.. start to finish. Mostly mine has obstacles all over the place..piles, collections, cats, a Rottweiler named Ruby Bordeaux. There are days when the physical obstacles become mental obstacles and I begin throwing them out onto the sidewalk for other artists to retrieve and take home. I have stepped far beyond a collage like home. I have passed into more of a where's waldo existence with circus overtones. Dream like? The bedroom is the only clear sanctuary, and it is in the back, with the dog on the bed. You tell me. But I'll tell you, it is beautiful. The blanket is green with peacocks, the dog is black and the gate to the back has night blooming jasmine and ferns blocking it's entry...our houses...our minds..good thing we don't have to go far to find what we need. Now where did I leave my stilts?
