Bonjour Catalina! Thank you for responding so promptly to my question. I will be leaving for Tours, France, Nov. 9th. It looks like I will not be able to catch the show before it closes! Too bad. This morning I posted my entry and it is exciting to think that it will be in France among many others like it sometime very soon! Will you go to the show to view the entries? I have been doing postal (envelope) art for many years now and have my own discovered way of preserving (for the rough handling of the mail) and designing. It would be a wonderful inspiration and learning experience to observe the mail art of others! Perhaps there are thousands of others who use the same methods I use? You could say I have been isolated all these years in my obsession. When I discovered Nick's work (Griffin and Sabine) it was like I'd finally run across someone of the same species, cut from the same cloth, I could use a few more simile! Of course I don't feel like I hold a candle to his work - but it is the epistolary sentiment that rings the kindred bell. As you might have guessed, I have just discovered this chat room. Although I've owned and cherished many of Nick's books in the past, about three years ago I sold all of my books those included. Then a week or so ago I found The Artful Dodger in the library and I have been on a devour ever since. I have purchased Urgent 2nd Class and Alexandria. All this in the span of a week or two. I think I was hungry! Well, so nice of you to help me. I will be checking into the chat room regularly now, so perhaps I will hear more from you and your impressions of the show should you attend. I would enjoy that. Did you say you might post some photos from the show? With understanding and good will - Jassy
