Pen: I used the reed dye this weekend...tried the turpentine stain method, and it didn't work at all (it doesn't dissolve in turpentine, go figure)...tried the water dye method, brushed it on, and it did work very well...but it will raise the grain on the wood, and you'll lose a little color sanding it down...let us know your results.
