Very sorry to hear of the accident! I figured I might throw in a suggestion to the frey, in hopes that you might be able to adorn the cane with all sorts of things. If you've seen or heard of "henna tattoos" - they are those lovely type of temporary (on skin) tattoos that women around the world adore. Mehndi, I think it is called. Anyway, this same tattoo paste works beautifully on wood, and can create elaborate designs! It stains the wood a rich amber color. If you were to buy a mehndi tattoo kit, and follow the stencil designs they give you, that would add a lovely embellishment. Unlike on skin, putting this on wood is permanent. :) I hope that adds to the pot of ideas! ~*~Foxfires~*~
