HA. I love Freudian slippages. What island, where,exactly? As to books about process, they pry my head open (seeing Monty Python graphic here) and give me the inspiration to try new things. I don't have my copy yet, but I can imagine the sorts of things Bantock got up to. Original love letters may as well be raw material --they will soon enough be either burned on a kitchen floor or used as cannon fodder. Recently, I came upon a man slinking away after surreptitiously burning small bundles that looked suspiciously like packets of love letters. I was running along a stream through woods with my gigantic dog at the time as the gully filled slowly with acrid, smoke. Alas, he set the tree he was burning the letters in on fire . I fished out some fragments after calling the fire brigade. Ah Lorca, ah Marquez.
