Ummmm. Ugh understand the wonder of summer corn on the cob, straight - no butter, no salt and no pepper required. The last of the second wind of strawbeeries, no craam, no drizzled honey required. The bounty of summer squash - Italian zucchini the size of Pinotkeyohs nose - and patty panlets that fall over limp and ready to melt after a lite steaming. Traces of woodsmoke in BBQ sauce too good not to lick from everyplace it clings (fingers, ribs, neckties). Dragons unleashed from their bootles and chipos that can not only stand up to guacamole with an attitude about molecular cohesion - but plumb the depths of the bowl to mine for chunks. Yummmy. I'd say keep the gifts (as an advance on the next time you part ways and means) but perhaps a "I'm back" doenut morning might be appropriate to thank everyone. (Besides, I am not sure you can return whoopi GOldberg cushions and sandcandles with your name etched on the side - please insert your own goodbye list of gifts if these do not accurately reflect the farewheel offerings placed at your feet upon your immanent departure - grins**) Hope you use enough garlic with your Italians (extra can always be used at crossroads to ward off evil spirts . . . sigh . . . garlic bread, dripping with butter and ossing roasted garlic wedges . . .) Time to get back to editing and Arthur Plotnik's halftones. Of course (second course mind you) I understand nothing. Naw . . thing (remember Sgt Schultz in Stalag 13? Now there was a guy who knew gute! food when he saw it!! And Colonel Clink? Bummer when a klink breaks the taosting goblets, isnt it ?) But Id like 2 . . . laughing a bit more than advised in my condition - al
