For the specific advice you are seeking, you need to pre-package afew samples and approach buyers from stores like Papyrus, Noteworthy and other merchants interested in non-cookie cutter art-inspired cards. They will give you the cold hard facts, as opposed to Nick's chat room audience who seems to want to encourage you to keep pursuing your art. I respectfully disagree with you about the "I get that it's not about you, it's about me" statement. Apparently, at this point in time, it is about us, since we are the would-be consumers of your product. We have been telling you what would tilt the scales in favor of us purchasing your products. We have been giving you the clues you need to better your website, which would get us to tell our friends about it. When you approach a group of people who have settled in to a cyber world created by Nick Bantock, I must say, you hit a crowd who has seemingly found their satisfaction, they have discovered what they think is superb. Props for aiming high in your target audience, but since the advice offered here is not, and probably never will be short and simple, my opinion is that your best bet would be to snail mail some art to Nick, himself and get the answer you want from the man you want it from. Best of luck to you Danielle.
