I prefer teh metaphor of digging through sand to find clams on a sunny, windswept beach when the tide is far out to sea and seagulls fly overhead, inspecting every move you make with a friendly squawk now and then, just to let you know time is passing . . . but I get your driftwood (how are those lighthouses coming along, BTW? are the animals shedding any light these days? :-D)
