Dear Nick, I would say that irony is definitely still here. For me it's here and in fashion, I know there are a million or so baby boomers and generation x'er's just shaking their heads at the latest batch of reality t.v. that their little tow-headed generation d's are just eating up. I would say that irony is running through the clouds like a iron lining, just waiting to fall on the later generation when they are old enough to get it. As far as gallows humour, black comedy, it's definitely around but i think it has morphed into things that are infinitely dumbed down and put into chewable bite size bits. Watch any new 'scary movie' with all the latest kids stars, and see that gallows humour is in full works, it's just in an MTV package. It's all their folks. It really is.. Take care, Arete
