My two cents would be on either a) transference, or b) the spirit of the work making itself apparent. As and pastacards do seem to fit together. . . . For example, I used to store my postcard collection in a pale blue AAA map box (a shoe box being unavailable at the time and the map box had this cool folding mechanism not unlike a cake box flap locking system that was quite unigue). So I would not be surprised if postacrds stored away for long periods in boxes got into some mischelif started to missteeriously reflect odd things like shoe sizes and shipping tag info. I would check mine now for just such mischeif, but it has long since been given away because we always went the sam eplaces on vacation, most photographed postcards back in the 70s were getting uglier by the year, and I never had any penpals so I never received or sent any of them . . . so my collection not only lacked diversity and beauty, but also quantity and usefulness. At some point around 12 or 13 or 14, I realized the corealarry that the cheaper the psotcard, the uglier the picture and at 10 per year (the $1.00 specials were for a 10 pack and by far the most economical and ugly) I was slowly growing a meager collection of ugly, mass produced, minature photos of the same place. A quick calculation showed that at a ten per annum growth rate - the collection (really only a short stack at the time) would in 20 years grow and become . . .a small pile. Immediate discontinutation of acquisitin of ugly postcards seemed the only seasonable thing to do. . .So they sat in the box in the back of the closet (not unlike Spinys mushrooms) until they were sent on their way lol (Anyway, I flrited with the idea of collecting stamps instead, but the thought never occured to me to actually buy any, I quicly saw that just about everyone was using the same first class stamp so I was fast acquiring dozens of the same exact one we used and the dribble of foreign letters we got always had been so oeverly canceled that you couldnt really see them. The few stamps I had kept the postacards company in the blue box - so if anyone spots them do please give them a goodhome . . .) (Hmmm & perhaps their karma was to espace the wheel of mass produced ugliness and reincarnate into beautiful, one of a kind articles and the As kinda went along for the ride . .who knows??)
