Charlotsville reminds me of the South. And the South reminds me of summer holidays spent reading until late into the night under the covers with a flashlight or staying up to watch old movies on permanent late night rerun. Scarlett and Rhett and the red Georgia soil of Terra. Chase and Murray and a silly dancing rodent. Hamilton looking tan and Paula Prentiss looking tall with a rare glimpse of Patsy Cline. And the late horror movies made safe and watchable by goofy hosts dreassed up as monsters who made bad puns and told you what to look out for in the next upcoming sediment. Oh - and commercial streaks that lasted longer than the movie parts and featured a guy with little hair matted in a combover style who was selling some invention like he was at a fair, barking at people passing by. When "not yet available in any store" actually meant just that. Those were the days. Happy Days and the Fonz - a cool guy on a bike and he didnt have hair like Don King (and yes, I have seen it up close and it is just what it looks like). - Al
