FYI: I never answer "fine" ... I either read, or heard somewhere awhile back that the term "how do you do?" has become a greeting, not a question. I have maintained it to be a question (by people who genuinely care - whether they do or not is of no consequence to me, they should learn to simply say "hello", instead, if they do not require an appropriate response) and respond every time with exactly how I am doing! As for your challenge, I think the answer is "Truth." Truth is always true, yet when an event is seen and described by more than one person, their perspective of the same event can be so different and produce such different responses/interpretations. This is an amazing facet of art. I like the scene in Little Women (recent, not original) when Amy is painting and the camera pans across the canvases of several other students and they are all painting the same statue, but each one is beyond diverse. Yet, they are all true. When faced with truth, people react. It is not my hope to create 'right' or 'wrong' reactions, but to present the truth in all I do. Truth is indisputable. I like that.
