Picking up on Spiny's thought of the personal museums we all collect in our minds, I wanted to add my own special pieces. There are numerous classical paintings and songs (I am a classical pianist) that I have tucked away in my mind for difficult times. However, there are also modern artists that have attained this level of beauty and escapism for me. Michael Parkes is one. If you have a moment, visit his site at: http://www.theworldofmichaelparkes.com - there you will see such tender, surreal imagery. Some of my favorites: Gargoyles, The Juggler, Anubis, Khensu, Desert Lotus... though the list could go on and on. ----------------------------- Another near and dear to my heart is a little known artist from the Pacific Coast, named William Steidel. His humble website can be found at: http://www.steidelsart.com - I own one of his limited edition pieces called "Crystal Spring". I fell in love with it when I was 16 years old, and it still captivates me today. I do not think there is a photo of it on his site... but I will see what I can do as far as sharing it with everyone. If ever there was one vision I would carry with me through tribulations, that one would be my own personal morning star. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~Foxfires~*~*~*~*~*~*~http://www.foxfires.com/blog.html
