Let me attempt a more coherent reply. I'll go question by question."why are relationships so confusing?" I've been around a while and still ask this. Well it keeps life interesting, I guess. "Can a teacher ever become a friend?" It's been my experience that they can. Many of my good friends are teachers. Most were not my teachers, but somebody's teachers. They tend to get overworked and stretched too thin. They have favorite students, students that they care deeply about and who inspire them as human beings, students that they keep in touch with for years and years. It's important that teachers be fair and nurturing to all of their students, of course, and offer their best to every class. Every teacher has a private life, apart from work, that they need to look after, too. "can your best friend become a distant aquaintance?" Friends can grow apart, or lose touch with each other. It's been my experience that when I've been close to someone, I still care about them and feel rapport, even when we've been separated for a long time, and our lives have changed a lot. "can you look to your favorite teacher to confide all you secrets and dreams to?" Yes, if that's how you both want it, why not? But be open to people your own age, too. You're probably not the only person in the class with an interest in the subject and an appreciation for the teacher, and it's easier to hang out and have fun with people at the same point in their lives as you. Try not to miss out on that, whether you are close to your teacher or not.
