Foxfires, yes! Actually, I just returned from an 8 day Oregon trip myself. Very near where you're going. Newport, South Beach, Agate Beach, etc! It stormed nearly the whole time with brief moments of sunlight peeking through. The resulting greenery though, is amazing. Two of the days were spent in Ashland and the Lava Beds of California. It is truly gorgeous there on the coast, though I still love these rocky California beaches of my home best. Much less rain. Here's hoping you come back deeply and gaspingly inspired.
