Some poeple have asked about Persephone and the pomegranate seeds. Zeus demands Persephone's return from the underworld. Hades agress, but before releasing her, her feeds her pomegranate seeds (the food of the dead) in order to bind her to him. Persephone is reunited with Demeter and the earth again blooms in spring. But because she has eaten the seeds, she must return to live with Hades every fall when the world turns dark again. So enjoy the daylight while it's here!!!
