Yippee, one of my favorite subjects. Under the influence of Jung I taught my daughter when she was quite small to confront the monsters in her dreams and make them her protectors. She's passed this on to her daughters. They discuss their dream on a regular basis. Dreams I think are just another adventure in consciousness. If you are involved with a therapy that uses dreams I think that your dreams will accomodate that therapy in advancing your progress. In other words if you are Jungian you will eventually be provided with the archtypes to guide you. A lot of dreaming is just processing the glut of information that you are bombarded with daily. Then there are the stories that you tell yourself about yourself and your life in a sometimes fantastic form. Then there are the adventures in consciousness that you can't define in everyday terms. Joint dreams, precognitive dreams, parallel existance dreams, etc. Then there's the Eastern notion that this life may just be a sort of dreaming. In the end I think that both dreaming and waking life is the same thing. An awesomely complex consciousness trying to fit into a limited form of creation.
