OK. You probably wanted a serious answer, or at least a little light shed on the subject. So take this as a remote outpost of an idea. Marketing is a lot about timing and tie ins. Holidays and current events (the timing part - not to be confused with timing belts) tied into the things people most desire are a popular example. (Maslows hierarchy of needs is a place to start, by you probably could get a better list of what people want by looking at what Madison Avenue uses to sell us stuff.) So, see if you can take a popular holiday and tie your project into that. Christmas is when roughly 40% of purchases are made, but it is over crowed. If your project can be linked to a popular gift giving holiday, so much the better, since many people splurge on gifts. New Years and goals and planning, Easter and rebirth, Christmas and love for all mankind. That kind of thing. Yet you need the right angle for your marketing idea. Something that is unusual enough to stand out from the crowd and yet allows people to take action towards achieve a goal by purchasing your product, service or mulit media project. One way to get the ideas flowing is to take two things that are opposites and try and put them together. Find the similarities and see if that leads you anywhere interesting. Oppps . . TBC
