I agree. I don't think it's not magic to encounter people in the real world, we just learn to largely edit it out. There was an art piece at the Hirshorn which was a film of people's faces at a streetcorner in NYC (often attractive young women, somehow...) The film was projected onto three walls and some was in slow motion in black and white and some was in real time in color. Most of the people didn't know they were being filmed. After I saw it I was walking around in Washington looking at peoples' faces but then a guy started following me around. Art and communication can be a little dangerous.
