My personal favorite of Nick Bantock's books would either be The Venetian's Wife or the Forgetting Room. The Venetian's Wife has excellent artwork, incorporates Hiduism into it, which I like, and has that always longed for sensual quality which is missed in many books. The Forgetting room has great artwork too, and is very detailed, but what I like the most about it was how Bantock made time in Armon's life speed up, then slow down. At the slow times, I marveled at the emotion which radiated from the character and his work. Although most authors focus on changing time in their books, adding detail tothe slow moments, Bantock does this exceptionally well.
