A pleasant winter diversion besides NB books and tea and snow shovelling: Madison had kite flying on the frozen lake this weekend, fireworks in the evening. Quite a spectacle! I had never before seen that interesting combination of snow boarding and kite flying, and I unfortunately missed Canada's contribution to the show. Is this a Madison only event or does this sort of thing go on elsewhere?
