It's been a very long time but I remember somthing about photocopies and acetone. Is it possible that water will work as a solvent for inkjet prints? I think you just carefully lay the image over the paper and apply the solvent to the back until it soaks through and peel away the original. The image will be flipped. You might want to explore silkscreening techniques if you have a need for multiple copies. And you can often photocopy or color photocopy onto an altered piece of paper. As with everything, it's good to play around with the materials first (but be extra cautious with solvents of all kinds.) Adobe Photoshop is an excellent computer program for manipulating imagery and layering, but it sounds like you already probably know more about this than I do. Have fun!
