Regarding those things that both delight and annoy, I offer this: aging. Its actually quite nice making ones way through life, getting up each day (well, consider the alternative), trying and learning new things along the way...age brings insight, confidence and new opportunities, and theres always something new to bring joy and delight, if you keep an eye out for it. Were I given the chance, I wouldnt go back. On the other hand, turning into a crone is no fun, really, and people do seem to assume that older means no fun, which gets tedious. I wont go too far into those things which just annoy (intolerance, thoughtless judgments, and, as Harriet Vane, or maybe it was the Dowager, said, people who dont see what the problem is...) (Oh, and wet socks...thanks, Tyson)...
