Things do call up their opposites to achieve balance, so delight must have its annoyances. But instead of treading on our hosts good graces and hospitality, how about sharing what annoys or frustrates you the most about the universe, the collective consciousness or whatever, that Nicks published work points to? (And no, this implies no slight upon either or a lack of perfection in the monk pointing to the moon reflected in the pool of water, more likely it is rooted in a lack of understanding in each of us.) I will start with mine. Last night. Playing charades. Where your partner keeps giving you the same handwaving (must be the Italian genes kicking in) motions over and over. If I have not gotten it the first three times, she should get a clue and try something else. Isnt that why the universe is infinite and full of imagination and humor - to supply us with more and effective ideas so we can win a coffee cup filled with caramel and nugget filled chocolates turkeys? . . . . . . . . (Okay, I am assuming here the universe has a VERY good sense of humor & at least about chocolate turkeys. . . . . . . . And the spirit phone line was busy or we have one of those variable rate plans which meant it was cheaper to call on the weekend. Is that why most parties are on the weekend? So we can use up all of those free, unlimited minutes getting brilliant advice for party games no adult should be forced to play?) . . . . . . . And yes, I know that if I wait patiently, shell come up the perfect signal and tell me about it in a week or two. . . . . . . So, anyone else care to share? P. S. Its even better if you have something that both delights and annoys you at the same time. Like treasure hunting when you are not sure if you are going to have to disinfect the shovel when you are done.
