regarding earth power coming up through the feet, i am reminded of what a teacher of the ancient indian classical dance form bharat natyam once said. she spoke about bharat natyam being the polar opposite of ballet, which is all about dancing on point and leaping, getting airborne. bharat natyam on the other hand is all about stepping with feet flat, rythmic stamping in contact with the earth.in fact every performance begins with an invocation to the gods, including goddess earth. am new to nick bantock's magical world and having recently read the venetian's wife i thought i might share this tid bit. cheers!
