Are you talking about the reference to the ceremony of innocence? But how interesting that you should mention this poem after a discussion of Victor Frolatti's role in the G&S story. Does Frolatti possess the energy of the beast slouching towards Bethlehem and is that ultimately negative? My feeling is this beast is a donkey in a monster's disguise, bearing (perhaps not even aware) a new concept of reality to fruition.
