Allentown Museum of Artin PA, recently had a display of Indian art. A complete whirlwind of ancient history, curvacious statues, and those beguiling "magic" carpets. I don't think the exhibit would have been as enthralling as if I has not read, The Venetian's Wife. I stared at a carpet for quite some time... and you do begin to see things! The large and sensual statue of the Shivah in sandstone and dramatic lighting sent my spine into the tundra. Thanks Nick for evoking your own magic into our imagination! C.C.
