OK, I must accept that. I just thought maybe it had something to do with his habit of writing what he was hearing subconsciously, and perhaps it had to do with the sound of spelling his own name, i.e. Griffin. So what about the letter M in the Many-years-later Sabine? I will tell you now, that My impression was that she was next generation (see the front of the postcard) and that her middle name came from her father's surname! Cheers, John
