i guess it would have to be the recent "Hero" by director Zhang Yimou. the cinematography was aesthetically breathtaking. the philosophy behind the film was profound and thought provoking as well. my fav scene is the one where Flying Snow and Moon was dueling in the autumn grove. the golden leaves whirling abt, contrasted to the vibrant red hue of their garments, and the amazingly poetic and almost dance-like swordplay. tres bien!!
