Dear Nick and fellow posters, I've just bought myself a copy of Alexandria at my university bookshop in Dunedin, New Zealand and discovered the three letters are in French. The 'Paolo' stamped Matthew to Sabine, Matthew to Isabella and consecutive Sabine to Matthew. Babelfish is making a mess of the translation - could someone please tell me the true translation or scan it through for me, too? The only other copy in Dunedin is English throughout. What a find!
