arriving at the mouth of the Nile via the time-travelling Golden Mean, M. Conti's mercenaries, next advanced by feluccas to Cairo's eastern necropolis - the city of the dead, where thousands of desperate Cairenes live in extensive cemeteries. Reaching the Tomb of the Caliphs,on horseback, they dismounted post haste and climbed to the pointed doorway in the uttermost room of the tallest minaret, and arrived in time to see a bespectacled man and woman forcing a large rusty key into the ancient lock. Inside the blue velvets faerie's heart must beat wildly with fear, and a mussein cries out for prayer in the distance. The mercenaries dominate the couple competely, once subjugated, and questioned the duo reveal that their plot was to emloy the BVF in a bizarre real estate development plan that would capitalize upon the use of her powers and turn this expensive piece of property into an Egyptian Disneyland .... but they tried to exploit the wrong faerie! She is safe and recuperating on Katie ....hurrah clap ....for faeries ^^^^^^^
