Thank you so much for the formal invitation. It's music to my eyes. I'll have to check my pocket calendar, the one found at the edge of the tide over a year ago. I think you would like it. It's rather corroded, with gorgeous broken hinges turned patina from the sea, with the tiniest of rusted bells hanging from the worn and stiffened leather straps. Perhaps if I make the departure, and we should by chance meet up, you would accept this trinket as a gift? The paper inside has crumbled and browned but I am still able to make marks on it with squid ink found in a little periwinkle inkwell belonging to a nearby sea faerie. (Did you know this is where the term seafaring comes from?) I may be in great danger sitting here so long, so I really must run.
