Photo copies will not work very well. the ink will come off too quickly as it sits on the surface of the paper. Newspaper soaks into the copy so it becomes a part of the fiber. Old magazines are interesting when you sand them as they were printed in layers and the ink layers come off as such. I have done this to computer (epson) printed images however you have to fix them with a fixitive first because the image will come off too quickly. its the same fix spray that you use with charcol drawings. spray the heck out of it with several coats. make sure there is a releaf of the same image underneath.
